Triton hosts Tri-County Six golf match at Chicora

Team performances remained true to form as Triton hosted a Tri-County Six 3-A Conference golf match at Chicora on Monday.

For the third straight league match, Union Pines was first, Harnett Central was second, Triton was third and Western Harnett finished fourth.

The Vikings were led by an 81 from medalist Nevin Bullough in shooting 335 as a team.

Harnett Central’s 354 score included an 83 from Cole Long, an 87 from Oliver Cole, a 91 from Seth Hagen and a 93 by Seth Bell.

Triton’s 372 was compiled by Aaron Jackson (88), Lee Bass (90), Cam Brown (95) and Scott Johnson (99).

Elijah Godfrey (92), Kamren Lewis (94), Ryan Carlson (97) and Will Lewis (99) combined for Western’s 382 total.

Southern Lee shot 389 for fifth and Lee County was sixth at 409.

Union Pines is hosting the next league golf match at Whispering Pines on April 9.
