The College Football Hall of Famer had a career record of 153-62-5 that included four Southeastern Conference championships with the Tigers and a Southern Conference title at ECU. … Retired boxing champion Floyd Mayweather will pay for the funeral of George Floyd in Houston on June 9. Floyd died in police custody in Minneapolis on May 25. … Former Indiana football player Chris Beaty, 38, was killed in Indianapolis on Saturday in a protest to Floyd’s killing. … Guard Daivien Williamson is transferring from East Tennessee State to the basketball program at Wake Forest after averaging 10.4 points last season as a sophomore for the Southern Conference champion Buccaneers.
