Volleyball: Varsity topped in five sets, middle school moves to 7-0, 3-0 in MCC

Cape Fear Christian Academy hosted Cresset in Mid-Carolina Conference volleyball matches on Tuesday with the visitors winning the varsity contest, 3-2, and the hosts taking a 2-0 triumph in the middle school meeting.

Cresset does not have a junior varsity team.

Set scores for the varsity game were 25-22, 16-25, 22-25, 25-23 and 9-15. CFCA slipped to 5-8 overall and 4-3 in league play.

The CFCA middle school team moved to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the MCC by set scores of 26-17 and 25-22.

All three CFCA volleyball teams have conference matches at Crossroads on Friday.
