West Carteret took a 3-2 win over visiting South Johnston on Friday night in the second round of the NCHSAA 3-A baseball playoffs.

The Trojans completed the season at 14-10.

The Patriots (16-8) advanced to visit unbeaten New Hanover (22-0), the top seed in the Eastern bracket on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
